At First Federal Savings Bank of Angola (First Federal), the basis of each customer relationship–many of which span generations–is trust. You have chosen to do business with First Federal, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us. We recognize your right to privacy at First Federal and believe that your privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals.
Information about consumers is accumulated from a variety of sources. Some information is provided to First Federal directly by customers themselves. Other data is developed by First Federal as a function of providing a product or service to a customer. Still other information is obtained from outside sources. We limit the use and collection of information about our customers to that which is necessary to administer our business and provide superior service. Employee access to customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. We use information to help identify and mitigate potential risks or loss to First Federal; to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations; and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service.
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
First Federal is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.
First Federal places strict limits on who receives specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data. First Federal may share information with such companies if they provide a product or service that may benefit our customers. We may also share information with unaffiliated companies when: they assist us in providing our products and services to customers; in the normal course of our business, such as information provided to a credit bureau, a similar reporting agency, or government agency; it is legally required or permitted; the information is provided to complete a customer-initiated transaction; the customer requests or permits First Federal to do so. We do not provide account or personal information to non-First Federal affiliates for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing, thus eliminating your need to “opt out” of such transactions. When First Federal conducts business with third parties, we insist our vendors maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of non-public personal information.
We may access personal information while you use our services, such as your phone number, home address, or e-mail address. We will use this contact information to alert you about service-related events or actions that require your attention. If you grant permission to use phone information, we will use the phone number to pre-populate forms that expect a personal phone number for contacting you. If you grant permission to use your device’s location, we will use the data when checking for nearby branch and ATM locations. If you grant permission to access photos, media, or other files stored on your device, we will use that information to add an image to a transaction, attach a document to a chat, or add a photo to your profile. If you grant permission to use a camera, we will use it when taking a picture to add an image to a transaction, capture images of a check that is being deposited, or add a photo to your profile.
First Federal Savings Bank of Angola recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our customers. We want you to understand our commitment to privacy in our use of customer information.
